Karen Losinger has been working in the transportation field for over 20 years. She started her career
working for Lufthansa German Airlines, transferring to Lufthansa Cargo after one year. In subsequent years, she was
promoted to supervisor, account executive, sales manager, and ISO 9001 quality assurance manager for Canada. In 1998,
Karen was transferred to Chicago to fill the position of Logistics Manager for Chicago, Toronto, and Montreal. In 2000,
she gave birth to a "millennium baby" and decided to return to Montreal as an account executive for Lufthansa Cargo, a position
which would allow her a more "normal" work schedule to fully enjoy her new baby girl. A baby boy followed in 2001.
Karen's account executive position was outsourced in 2001, and she found herself in a position to seek out new
opportunities. She accepted a position of account executive at GMX Worldwide Xpress, a freight forwarding company, and
developed the courier (envelope and small package) market. Karen developed that market to such an extent that in May,
2004, together with her partner, Graeme White, a new company was incorporated, namely GMX Global Logistics. In September,
2004, Karen's family was blessed with another baby boy.
As president of GMX Global Logistics, Karen spends much of her time in business development. In today's
global market with many companies expanding into the lucrative U.S. and overseas markets, there is a great demand for reliable
and economical shipping solutions. GMX satisfies this need with expert export and import servies.
GMX customers benefit from GMX's volume discounts with quality carriers such as UPS, as well as excellent air
freight, and trucking rates, while receiving personal and professional service.
In July, 2007, GMX moved its office and warehouse to a new location at 19 Donegani, in Pointe Claire.
They have expanded their shipping services into a Business Center offering photocopies, faxing, scanning, as well as discounted
toner cartridges. GMX's new target market is small to medium size businesses and entrepreneurs who require an economical
place to take care of shipping and other office needs.
