    Karen Edwards
    C.S.T. Consultants Inc

Karen Edwards is a Scholarship Representative for C.S.T. Consultants Inc., the service provider for the Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan. She. enjoys the opportunity of helping families plan for their childrens future success. As a licensed representative under Quebec and CST securities requirements, she helps families understand and implement the federal grant program called the Canadian Education Savings Grant (CESG) which is linked to the Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).

Parents want the best success for their children, and this success demands some post-secondary education or training. It can be university but also trade or technical training. But to achieve a good education or training, requires having the financial resources. Parents and grandparents can plan early, when their children are small to save for their future education. Government grants enhance these savings goals and are available to all families.

When parents choose a non-profit foundation such as The Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan, they benefit from surplus revenues such as donations and low costs with the collective savings trust plan, so their return on investment is enhanced.

Other benefits include a graduate awards scholarship program, on-line verification of savings plans, excellent client service through toll free telephone, on line messaging, and a personal enrollment representative.

Karens interests include meeting new people, especially families with children. Karen feels a genuine satisfaction representing a wonderful savings program that helps families achieve their dreams for their childrens successful future.

Karens new found freedom is being in business for myself and keeping my own hours. I love the challenge of setting goals and the feeling of accomplishment when you achieve these goals. I find it exciting to realize there are no limits to how successful I can be. I love this potential for unlimited success.

Karen has a Bachelors degree in liberal arts from the University of Western Ontario. She also has an interest in fine arts and followed courses in drawing, painting, and art history from Concordia University. Computer training and experience in customer service facilitate her work.

Karen was involved in pre-school education with co-operative nursery schools as well as part time teaching. Working in the corporate business world for many years at Eastern airlines, then corporate travel for ten years, Karen now enjoys working with CST Consultants Inc.as a self-employed scholarship representative. Prospective clients can Contact Karen for a free consultation on meeting their childs future educational goals.

    WENS Testimonial
    By Sue-Anne Hickey

I just had to share with the WENS members how good it feels to be apart of this network. The demands of other networking groups to make weekly referrals just got to be too much. Since Ive stopped attending these other groups, I feel a big weight lifted off from my shoulders. One particular networking group pressures its members to produce at least one referral per week and it made me feel so guilty if I did not perform. (I did NOT give Bogus referrals which is something that happens quite often).

WENS just works naturally. One of the WENS members is interested in a new line of yoga clothes, so I referred her two people she could meet! Another member asked for my flyers and she has already referred someone to me.

    Way Cool!

Thanks for all your hard work!

The Key To Creating Wealth In Business
    By Robin J. Elliott

Entrepreneurs have received many messages in the past that have had the cumulative effect of hoodwinking us. We have put blinders on by accepting certain Solutions from the Gurus. The purpose of an Entrepreneur is to make after tax profit. We use business as the vehicle. But we heard that we need to be focused and that we need an Elevator Speech and similar concepts that can effectively lock us out of tremendous wealth opportunities. This short article is intended to impart and share a JV Mindset that can liberate us from restrictive assumptions and perceptions.

Go to any Business Networking Meeting and youll find dozens of wanna-be entrepreneurs, usually self employed salespeople, who thrust their business cards at you, talk at you, pitch you, and then leap up to enthusiastically deliver the predigested, prepackaged, boring elevator speech that they paid someone who lost their job and now calls themselves a coach to create. And while theyre giving their elevator speech, what art h rest of the people at their table doing? They listen long enough to decide whether or not the speaker will buy their product or service and then promptly lose interest. They are waiting to give THEIR speech. You know this is true. Just look at the audience theyre bored stiff. Everyone is there to sell, sell, sell.

WENS Networking Tip of the Week!
    Get Involved!

If you have joined a networking organization, make sure to be an active member of the committee. Chances are you will reap BIG rewards because your name is front and center and plastered all over the organizations printed material and website. When you are the person making all the calls and doing the follow up, you have the opportunity and excuse to get to know the growing network up close and personal. Remember the hit TV show CHEERS?... You wanna go where everyone knows your name!

Emotional Intelligence is defined as the ability to use your understanding of emotions, in yourself and others, to deal effectively with people and problems. A high EQ (emotional quotient) helps you to better understand people, creating better relationships that will directly impact your success as well as enhance life-balance and produce creative energy.

Did you know that assertiveness; empathy, happiness, emotional self-awareness, and problem solving were more predictive of sales success than background, gender and sales technique?

Did you know that the worlds most successful entrepreneurs are known to have high EQs?
