    Pat Snow
    Business Coach

Pat Snow has always been fascinated by innovation and creativity and moving toward a fulfilled life both in relation to our self, our loved ones and our communities. The work of art we all must do is to create our life from the material we have; the work of art of the entrepreneur is their business.

Pat is a Montreal-based Professional Coach who helps business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs develop business and personal strategies that allow their companies and their lives to flourish, in line with their true values and life purpose.

Shes committed to the success of self-employed professionals and small business owners. In her opinion, they are one key to building energetic and thriving communities.

She is now taking applications for her newest program -Entrepreneur Circles- a combination of masterminding, peer brainstorming and support in a group setting. Almost like having your own board of directors. Only six members (each from a different business) will be accepted into each group. Confidentiality in this program, as in all programs, is assured. For the January 2006 E-groups, applications need to be in before December 15th. There are two groups, one for those between 6 months and two years in business, the other for those between 2 and 5 years.

Another program Jumpstart Your Marketing, a five week action-packed program, is perfect for the person selling a service who's tired of the roller coaster and who wants to move to the next level. This is an action-based marketing program which helps keep people on track to meet their goals. People from many kinds of business take this one. She also offers two industry specific ones - for financial advisors with between one and 5 years experience, and for alternative health professionals.

Unique Personal Branding is a two session workshop especially for the person who wants to become crystal clear about her strengths, what she has to offer, how she presents herself in her business, in the job market, in her life.

Pat offers a variety of other business packages to suit your need and budget. She also puts on seminar events for business people, and large networking events in environments that support business people to build relationships. For almost five years, she has coached many new and seasoned entrepreneurs of all ages and situations to succeed in their businesses.

Prior to becoming a Business Coach, Pat completed extensive coach training at Coach U, the largest coach training school in North America. Plus she has a Masters Degree from McGill. A firm believer in continuing education, her studies are ongoing. She also is the Montreal Chapter Host for Coachville. (www.coachvillle.ca)

Experiences she had throughout her career influenced her decision to become a coach. Previously she worked in the health care sector, always with people. At one point, she was nominated for Quebec's Persillier-Lachapelle award for Innovative Programs.

    WENS Testimonial
    By Beverley Joncas

I've been a WENS member from the very beginning. Sherry noticed the difficulty women were experiencing in trying to navigate through the business world, so she formed WENS (Women's Entrepreneurial Networking System).

Not long after forming WENS Sherry offered a networking breakfast and I attended. From that point on, I was hooked on WENS.

Since the early days, there are now over 5000 women subscribing to the WENS newsletter and new members are joining every day. Each WENS member is available to help each other by sometimes being inspirational, other times motivational and always encouraging.

I have grown within myself as a result of being a member of WENS. I find this new me has more confidence to deal with both business and personal issues. The confidence I have gained has encouraged me to form a small jewelry business of my own. This is something I doubt I ever would have done without Sherry and without WENS.

Thank you, Sherry. Thank you, WENS.

Top Ten Tips for Terminating Telephone Terror
    By Wendy Weiss

    1. Make telephone calls
Few things are more terrifying than the unknown. The fear you create for yourself is far worse than the reality of cold calling. Once you start making telephone calls and continue making telephone calls, it gets easier. You overcome fear by doing.

    2. Make a lot of telephone calls
If you have only one prospect to pursue, that prospect becomes overwhelmingly important. If you have hundreds of leads, no one prospect can make or break you. The more calls you make, the more success you will have.

    3. Prepare
Prepare for cold calling the way you would for any major presentation. Know what you want to say, how you want to say it and how you want to represent yourself, your company, your product or service. And know the goal of your telephone call.

    4. Practice
If you are new to cold calling or uncomfortable with cold calling, practice your pitch out loud. Role-play with friends or colleagues. Practice various sales scenarios. This way, you will not have to worry about what you are going to say. You will be prepared, and you can focus in on your prospect.

    5. Start with less important leads
It will be good practice and less stressful. Once you feel more comfortable, start working on the more important leads.
