In 1997, Alvina Ryan graduated with honors form Concordia University with a speciality in Athletic Therapy. One month
later, she graduated from massage therapy school. Right away she officially started her private practice. Today she is the
proud owner and director of Relax Therapeutic Massages and Bodywork, a massage therapy clinic with offices located in Pierrefonds,
Lasalle and the East end of Montreal. She later went on to receive a graduate diploma in administration from John Molson
School of Business.
Relax Therapeutic Massages and Bodywork offers many bodywork styles including Swedish, Pregnancy, Sports Chair, Deep
Tisssue etc...to name a few. We specialize in sports massage however and are the official massage therapy clinic of the Montreal
Alouettes. During the day, we can often be seen at companies offering chair massage in the workplace. Chair massage in the workplace
has been shown to increase workplace productivity, decrease stress and muscle tension, decrease absenteeism, and improve employee
moral. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Both employers and employees benefit. Besides operating the company, Alvina is also a senior teacher at the Kine Concept Institute. She teaches anatomy
and physiology, hydrotherapy, sports taping and sports psychology (all in French). In the past she has also worked as a counselor
for her school in charge of marketing and finances of new students. In her spare time, Alvina likes to spend time with her
