IMAGINING THE UNIMAGINABLEThe year was 2001. As an administrator for a small business, my job had become boring
and routine. I enjoy searching for faster and better ways to do things and, in a short while, became so efficient at my job
that it took longer for me to travel to work than it took to do the actual work. So after a talk with my employer, I divided
my workload: that which I could do at home and that which someone else could do on location. The arrangement worked out
perfectly. I reduced a five-day-a-week job to 15 hours a week. I continue to work for him, but now he's one of my clients.
MULTITASKING: THE NITTY-GRITTY When I meet a client for the first time we sit down to clarify the exact services
they need. Whether it be project management, payroll, problem solving, research, creating presentations on PowerPoint, managing
e-mail accounts, scheduling appointments, or call forwarding, I am able to do these administrative jobs using up-to-date technology
and via the internet.
What I like most about my work is the opportunity to deal with interesting challenges while continually learning new
ways to help my clients improve their businesses. 100% PRODUCTION I create time-saving strategies for business
owners to become more efficient. Individuals can hire administrative help without having to worry about leasing extra office
space and purchasing more equipment. I work on a contract or on a project-by-project basis. People are secure in the knowledge
that their time is being used economically, and they are happy to give up work they don't like or don't have time to do.
A simple service such as call forwarding significantly changed one of my client's businesses. She used to miss customers
calls and many just didn't leave messages. Now, her customers are happy they can talk to a representative. I arrange appointments
via the internet so she can check her schedule when necessary. As a result of delegating the job of answering the phone, her
business increased and she has gained valuable time to use on other areas of her business.
I became a WENS member so that I could meet and network with other creative entrepreneurs. I am always inspired by
the enthusiasm and resources available from this organization. It is an exhilarating experience to participate with this passionate
group of women in business.

WENS
Testimonial
By
Elaine Creighton
WENS is run professionally by Sherry Thacker. WENS
offers a varied selection of activities and occasions
to network for all types of women, from those just
starting out in business to those who've made a
success of it. Although there are so many
networking groups to belong to, I made the
conscious choice to be a part of WENS. It's worth
it.

How
to Use the Power of Blogs in Your Online Marketing
Article
by David Callan
Nobody who has an online presence, or who is
involved in any form of online marketing, can afford
to ignore blogs, or web logs as they were previously
widely called. It is now pretty obvious that any
entrepreneur, who insists on continuing to ignore
blogs, is bound to live to deeply regret the decision.
In recent times blogs have quickly climbed up the
ladder of importance in online marketing to a point
where no serious online marketer will fail to include
blogs in their arsenal of key marketing weapons.
Blog Power
Actually, there is no denying the sheer power of
blogs. For instance the growth rate of websites has
declined in recent times and most of the growth
online is now being driven by this new kid on the
block. It is estimated that a staggering 40,000 new
blogs are being launched daily.

Why does it seem that nothing is working this week?
My computers acting up, I cant get through to my
clients and my boyfriend doesnt seem to understand
a word Im saying! Sound familiar? Ever get weeks
like that? Perhaps months? Theres a reason why
things seem to go awry, and its not always your
fault. Sometimes circumstances are simply beyond
our control. However, if you understand the nature
of the cycles at hand, you can work around them
and sometime even work with them, to your
advantage.
