Cheryl Appe Arbonne International |

I was first introduced to Arbonne International at a home presentation given by a young woman who had been a nanny in
my neighborhood many years ago. At age 31, and now with four young children of her own, Kristen is building a successful
Arbonne business. I was very happy for her; I loved the products and purchased the anti-aging skin care system. I signed
up to be a consultant in order to be a wholesale buyer of the products. As a consultant I received my own ID# and was able
to experience the Arbonne website and shop online. I became intrigued by the quality of the business model; the free online
training, the generous compensation plan, the unlimited income potential, and the idea of being in business for yourself but
not by yourself. Before long, I was on the phone with Kristen, asking her to tell me more about this business opportunity.
She told me about the successful women (and some men) she knows in Arbonne, about the amazing support she receives from the
company, and about her income (including the Mercedes Benz she was about to earn from Arbonne). Arbonne sounded like a caring
company which encourages people to help each other and have fun while gaining financial freedom. These were some of the benefits
I was looking for in a career. I had been out of the work force for 15 years raising our three daughters. The idea of sitting
behind a desk, working for an hourly wage, and having my free time dictated by someone else was not appealing. I wanted it
all; to contribute to our family income and the college fund, to be available to my family, and to have time off when I wanted
it. My personal mission is to be the best leader that I can be by keeping balance in my life. Making time for fitness,
for friends and family and for doing the things I love helps me to stay focused. I want to enjoy the people I work with and
work with those I enjoy! I plan to go to the top with Arbonne and my mission is to take a team with me. I will teach
others the recipe for success and support them while they build their teams. We are open for business in Canada with a ground
floor opportunity. I am personally excited to be able to put this amazing gift into the hands of some of the wonderful women
I have met through WENS. Attending the WENS events has given me the opportunity to learn from some very creative women
(and one man so far). I have enjoyed hearing about the businesses people have created, and I am in awe of the energy and
professionalism in the room each morning we meet. The WENS format creates an environment where business relationships can
be fostered, but equally important, friendships can form. This is the philosophy I embrace for my business and one I admire.
It is a pleasure to be in the company of everyone at WENS on those very early mornings.

they all interesting? Will they be an addition to our personal growth? Will they be helping us from going around in circles?

Power
Language for Appointment-Setting
By
Wendy Weiss
1. Use power language: "The solution is."
rather than, "I believe the solution is."
2. Never use the word "appointment" when
trying to set one.
Instead, use the word "meeting." "Meeting" sounds
more professional and more important. "I would like to
meet with you."
3. Use directed words to reach your
prospect. When you ask to speak with your
prospect, say, "Jane Jones, please," and not, "May I
speak with Jane Jones?" The first sentence conveys
authority; the second asks permission.
4. Use directed words (and open-ended
questions) to gather information. Ask, "Whom should
I speak with?" and not, "Do you know who I should
speak with?" The first conveys authority, and
whomever you are questioning, if they know, must
answer with a name. In the second sentence, the
response could simply be "yes" or "no."
5. Whether trying to ascertain a good time
to call your prospect back or trying to schedule a
meeting, it is a good idea to give alternate
choices. "Is this afternoon good, or would tomorrow
morning be better?" It is much easier for your
prospect to decide "when" rather than "whether."
6. "I'm just calling." Eliminate the word "just"
from your vocabulary. That little word "just" is an
apology. It says that your call is not important and
that what you have to say is not important. Simply
tell your prospects and customers why you are
calling. That is enough.
