    Erica Ehm - one of Canada's most recognized personalities - is would like to personally invite busy, multi-tasking WENS mummies to join the Yummy Mummy Club [www.yummymummyclub.ca].

    When Erica became a mother for the first time in 2000 (son Joshua is now six, his sister Jessie is three), she felt isolated, frustrated and exhausted. Reaching out to other moms she hoped to share their common experiences - and more importantly their parenting survival tips! Not long after, Erica created and launched the TV series Yummy Mummy, currently airing on Life Network and Discovery Health in Canada, Discovery Health in the US, Asia, Australia and Europe.

The Yummy Mummy Club hits a nerve within the mom community with its cheeky articles, playful surveys, delicious giveaways, smart mom's book club, and online shopping.

    Yummy Mummy Club is also an online destination for mompreneurs to promote their products to a the Yummy Mummy Club's large opted in subscriber base. There are opportunities for advertising and sponsorship for our monthly newsletter, as well as our Shop Yummy section.

    A little over a year ago, I was introduced to the powerful world of networking by Sherry and WENS. Since that day, making new business contacts has been soooo much more pleasant Recently, thanks to Sherry, once again, the unforgiving world of finance made its way into my ranges of interest. On Monday, November 27th, I took part in a game of Cashflow 101, organized by Sherry. Although, I did not even come close to winning the game, I enjoyed it and learned a lot from it. It made me realize that firstly, I need to start taking charge of my finances and secondly, that perhaps I do not need to work relentlessly to earn my every penny unlike I was brought up to believe! Sherry, who is an expert at the Cashflow game, and in real life finance, held us by the hand throughout the game making sure we all understood the impacts of our investment decisions. I recommend this game to anyone, money shark or not!

    Leaving Messages

    Let me state up front that I'm still not a big fan of leaving messages. Having a conversation with your prospect is always so much better, and with some skill and patience it is possible to eventually get most prospects on the telephone.

    If, however, you choose to leave a message, you must give your prospect some reason to call you back. 'I would like to talk to ou about what we have to offer' does not cut it.

    When you are speaking with your prospect for the first time, it is imperative to have a hook, something to grab and hold that prospect's attention. If you don't hook your prospect in the beginning of your conversation, they will not want to speak with you. They will say, 'I'm not interested,' and worse case, they may hang up on you.

    It works exactly the same way when you are leaving a message. If you don't have a hook, if your message does not grab and hold your prospect's attention, your prospect will hit delete and that will be that.
