    Pat Snow
    Business Coach

Pat Snow has always been fascinated by innovation and creativity and moving toward a fulfilled life both in relation to our self, our loved ones and our communities. The work of art we all must do is to create our life from the material we have; the work of art of the entrepreneur is their business.

Pat is a Montreal-based Professional Coach who helps business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs develop business and personal strategies that allow their companies and their lives to flourish, in line with their true values and life purpose.

Shes committed to the success of self-employed professionals and small business owners. In her opinion, they are one key to building energetic and thriving communities.

She is now taking applications for her newest program -Entrepreneur Circles- a combination of masterminding, peer brainstorming and support in a group setting. Almost like having your own board of directors. Only six members (each from a different business) will be accepted into each group. Confidentiality in this program, as in all programs, is assured. For the January 2006 E-groups, applications need to be in before December 15th. There are two groups, one for those between 6 months and two years in business, the other for those between 2 and 5 years.

Another program Jumpstart Your Marketing, a five week action-packed program, is perfect for the person selling a service who's tired of the roller coaster and who wants to move to the next level. This is an action-based marketing program which helps keep people on track to meet their goals. People from many kinds of business take this one. She also offers two industry specific ones - for financial advisors with between one and 5 years experience, and for alternative health professionals.

Unique Personal Branding is a two session workshop especially for the person who wants to become crystal clear about her strengths, what she has to offer, how she presents herself in her business, in the job market, in her life.

Pat offers a variety of other business packages to suit your need and budget. She also puts on seminar events for business people, and large networking events in environments that support business people to build relationships. For almost five years, she has coached many new and seasoned entrepreneurs of all ages and situations to succeed in their businesses.

Prior to becoming a Business Coach, Pat completed extensive coach training at Coach U, the largest coach training school in North America. Plus she has a Masters Degree from McGill. A firm believer in continuing education, her studies are ongoing. She also is the Montreal Chapter Host for Coachville. (www.coachvillle.ca)

Experiences she had throughout her career influenced her decision to become a coach. Previously she worked in the health care sector, always with people. At one point, she was nominated for Quebec's Persillier-Lachapelle award for Innovative Programs.

Then she worked in management consulting where she did outplacement with senior executives, middle management, professional and support staff helping them with career counselling to manage their transitions to new careers. She led many seminars, workshops and courses in Communication Skills, Leadership, Goal Setting, Conflict Resolution and Retirement Planning. She also did recruitment of engineering and technical staff.

Later she developed her first business - The Learning Network - which offered 71 courses in Business Skills, Personal Development and Leisure to the general public. It had one full time employee, 3 part time and 50 on contract. Lessons learned from this experience contributed greatly to her coaching business.

    Managing the Fear of Loneliness
    By Stan Popovich

Sometime or another we will experience a time when we are alone. Some people fear of being alone for various reasons. The first step is to become comfortable with yourself and having the self- confidence that you will be able to manage being alone. There is nothing wrong with being alone. If being alone bothers you then seeing a counselor can help you with these issues.

In the meantime, here is a short list of techniques that a person can use so that the fear of being alone doesnt become a major issue in their lives.

The first step is to find an activity that you enjoy and where you can meet a lot of people. For instance, joining a group activity such as a volleyball group, womens club, or making crafts can be a great way to meet people. Doing something that you like to do will make you happy and will increase your chances of making friends.

Spending time with animals can be a great source of companionship. Whether you have a dog or you go to your local shelter, spending time with an animal or pet can help us to feel better. Animals can be of good company to all of us whether we are alone or not.

Helping others through community service can be of some help. There are many people out there who could benefit from your time and talents. Helping others can give you a source of pride and accomplishment and also can lead to friendships.
