Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

The Awards Program is an initiative of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. The program started in 1992 with the goal of providing national recognition for the growing number of women entrepreneurs in Canada, many of whom were running multi-million dollar companies and yet were largely invisible. By shining some light on these exciting women, young women were provided with role models and encouraged to think about self-employment as a career option.


PARO: A Northwestern Ontario Women's Community Loan Fund
Provides financing to women entrepreneurs in the Thunder Bay, Greenstone, Patricia and Superior North regions. Although all industry sectors may be eligible for PARO's financing, you must be part of a peer circle in order to apply for a loan.
